Publisher is such an awesome program! It has greatly improved over the years and makes everyone look like a professional desktop publishing genius in a matter of minutes!
Although Word has templates, Publisher, is quite frankly, a lot easier to work with. Create brochures, flyers, business cards, certificates, greeting cards, calendars, postcards that you can actually mail, and more! Publisher is in the PC MS Office suite and is not available for the Mac.
Newsletters are one of my favorite templates. Easily change the color scheme, on the Page Design tab, and the publication instantly has a new look! When creating Newsletters, you may need to start a headline story on page one and have the user click an arrow to continue reading on a different page. Another feature Newsletters benefit from is converting a textbox into multiple columns. Multiple column textboxes really give the impact of a newsletter!
